Departure: Friday, July 24th at 10:00 a.m. Return: Sunday, July 26th in the afternoon
Campground: Frandy Campground in Kernville
This is a very unique trip where we will be completing the Whitewater Rafting Merit Badge and eating meals primarily on the road. It will be at least a 4 hour drive. To participate, scouts must weigh between 50 - 300 lbs, be able to swim confidently, and pass the BSA Swim Test.
The Full Day BSA Whitewater Rafting Merit Badge Program is on Class II-III water, where scouts learn river skills and safety before taking a verbal quiz for their badge. If the participating scout passes the test, then they will be rewarded with the Whitewater Merit Badge.
The trip requires appropriate footwear: Tennis shoes, water shoes, or sandals with heel strap. NO FLIP-FLOPS OR BARE FEET!
The cost is $300 per person. Scouts and Leaders must sign up and pay.
