Come join us for a weekend at The Rolling M Ranch Campground at Chino Hills State Park.
Friday, March 20th – Sunday March 22nd.
March is an excellent time for Chino Hills State Park, offering lush green hills, pleasant weather, and the start of peak wildflower season, with poppies, lupine, and mustard likely blooming, making it ideal for hiking.
For your scout’s safety, proper hiking footwear is strongly recommended for this trip.
Flip-flops, slides, and sneakers without adequate traction are not appropriate, as they can cause slipping, provide little to no ankle support, and are designed for pavement rather than uneven trails. You don’t need to invest in expensive hiking boots. Amazon offers some great, affordable choices.
The troop will be working on the following requirements and more.
Second Class Rank:
Identify or show evidence of at least 10 wild animals in your area.
Take a 5-mile hike using a map and compass.
First Class Rank:
Identify or show evidence of at least 10 native plants in your local area or campsite.
There are currently 20 spots available. This could increase based on leader availability and/or driver availability.
The Camp cost is $40.00 per person.
If registering multiple scouts please add EACH to the cart separately. Do not use the quantity feature.
Please sign your scout up with the name they use within the troop.
THERE ARE NO REFUNDS
